Stefani Concert Tonight!

I know it is the night before Thanksgiving.

I know there will be turkey to cook, desserts to make, jars to open, veggies to slice, dice and julienne!

I know the hungry faces will start to arrive at noon-ish, all famished and drooly with anticipation.

But, I must remain a strong, confident, can-do-it-all-kind-of-woman-mom-person and go to a concert 2 hours away in Portland, Oregon THE NIGHT BEFORE THANKSGIVING!

Yes, it seems daunting, but it is my sista woman, Gwen Stefani in concert and I. MUST. GO!

I am excited, but at the same time I have this knotty thing in my stomach about fighting the holiday traffic all the way to Portland and then being there until 10 or 11 o'clock and fighting the dwi's 2 hours back to my home. Then, getting up early (before 8am is early dammit!) in the morning to get things going! What the hell was I thinking! And you know, it will be a long day. It always is. And all the dishes and the cooking and the eating (which surprisingly, only really lasts about 5 minutes with my family - then back to football) it's just too much.

I am going with my two sisters (the real ones, not sista like Gwen), Katie and Ginger. They are awesome. If you don't have any, you've got to get yourself some sisters. They are HELLA fun! (That was for you Gwennie)

Well, I've got to finish up here at work and get moving!
